As part of our brand new website launch, we brought you a fabulous giveaway with our friends at a2 Milk UK! And now, we've got another wonderful giveaway brought to you by our lovely friends at Russell Hobbs UK and a2 Milk UK!
We supported a2 Milk UK at the BBC Good Food Shows at the NEC Birmingham, and Hampton Court over the past 2 weekends, and created 2 delicious recipes for them. We shared first of the recipes (Christmas Chocolate Truffles) last week, and now we bring you recipe number 2.
It was a massive hit at the shows, and resulted in a number of extra live demo's due to its popularity!
This delicious, warm and comforting drink has been described as 'Christmas in a cup'. Perfect on it's own, it can be taken to a whole new level with the addition of brandy, rum, baileys or added to coffee!
You will need:
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 35fl oz (1ltr) whole a2 Milk™
- 12 egg yolks
- 8oz (225g) golden caster sugar
- 35fl oz (1ltr) goats cream
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Nutmeg to sprinkle
Method:
Pour the vanilla extract, cinnamon and whole a2 Milk™ into a saucepan and gently heat for around 5 minutes before bringing slowly to the boil, stirring frequently. Once at boiling point, remove from the heat.
In a bowl, add the egg yolks and sugar and whisk until light in colour.
Carefully pour the hot milk mixture bit by bit into the eggs, stirring continuously.
Pour the mixture back into the saucepan, and cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened, being careful not to let it boil!
Remove from the heat, stir in the goat’s cream, vanilla extract and serve with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top.
Enjoy!
