Its usually something home made, my favourite is apple pie, because I always associate it with a family meal. The other thing would be deepfried camembert with redcurrent sauce. Its my daughter's favourite and we always share it as a starter when we go out for dinner, couldn't eat it on my own without feeling guilty

My favourite recipe is a stir fry! It is so easy to adapt to any dietary requirement while still tasting just as good! Vegetarian? No problem. Vegan? No problem. Gluten free? No problem. FODMAP friendly? No problem. Dislike most veg? No problem. Every time we have adapted it to someone's requirement it has always tasted just as delicious!

This is a hard one! I love to cook, so I have many recipes that I love to make (Irish Stew, Sri Lankan Lamb curry, Thai Green Chicken Curry, Slow Cooked Pork, Confit Duck legs on lentils....I could go on & on!). However, if pushed to it, I would say my favourite is a straightforward Roast Chicken. It is so evocative of Sundays spent with family gathered round the table each getting their favourite bit of the bird, delicious & juicy with all the traditional accompaniments! When treated right, it is always a winner.

Aubergine Parmagiana! We aren't vegetarian, but we love having a meat free night at least once a week. This is our go to meal, it's almost like comfort food, but it's also pretty healthy. Served with garlic bread (naughty) and salad with lemon juice and olive oil on. Delish!! :P

My favourite recipe is Grandma's rough cake. She taught me to make it in the 1950's when money and ingredients were often in short supply so this poor man's fruit cake varied with what she had in her cupboard or could afford on the day it was made. How times change but it was delicious every time.

Butternut risotto!!

Warming, filling, the kids will eat it (especially with a bit of crispy bacon on the top)

But also because it's a dish that with a drizzle of truffle oil and some Parmesan shaving can be quite spectacular at a dinner party...

The humble and versatile butternut squash risotto can not do a thing wrong in my eyes!!

A classic British roast! With the beef slightly pink in the middle, and roasties smothered in goose fat so they go deliciously crispy on the outside! all the trimmings, especially stuffing - with pork and leek sausages mixed in! drenched in gravy! Ooooh yum!! :P
