With the days getting shorter, and the nights becoming longer, it’s now ALL about comfort food. Just picture the scene, fire roaring in the back ground, warm cosy jumper on, favourite film on the TV and your all snuggled up on the sofa with the most epic of hot chocolates!
Sounds good doesn’t it!
So how about if I told you this hot chocolate hands down beats any other hot chocolate you’ve ever had?
This hot chocolate is on a level you might not have even experienced til now! It's super creamy, thanks to the a2 Milk, and with hints of spices from the cinammon and nutmeg, it's almost like it's giving you a warm and comforting hug! And then you have the added delights of gluten-free brownies and a sprinkle of mini marshmallows!
When tested on family and friends, the look of sheer delight and amazement was something else!

We thought we’d put our own spin on it, by creating this hot chocolate version!

Overloaded Hot Chocolate
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Total time: 20 minutes
Quantity: Serves 2 people
You will need
- 1 ltr a2 milk – either whole or semi skimmed
- 8oz (225g) dark chocolate bar
- 1tsp ground cinnamon
- 1tsp ground nutmeg
- 1tsp orange extract
- Whipped goats cream
- Choc Shot – orange flavour
- Handful of free-from mini marshmallows to decorate

Pour the milk into a saucepan, and warm over a medium heat, being careful not to allow it to boil.
Whilst the milk is heating, break the chocolate into a bowl and microwave in 20 second bursts until melted, ensuring you stir well after each go so that you don’t burn the chocolate.
Add the melted chocolate to the warmed milk, along with the cinnamon, nutmeg and orange extract and stir until well combined.
Carefully pour the hot chocolate into a large mug, pipe the whipped goats cream over the top, drizzle the choc shot over the cream, add 3-4 gluten-free brownie bites and then sprinkle with a few mini marshmallows.
Add a straw and serve.
