Swizzels sweets suitable for vegans, those that are dairy-free, gluten-free and also the big kids that like to reminisce.
If you say the name ‘Swizzels’ to pretty much anyone, they are most likely to instantly smile and think back to their childhood. It’s fair to say that Swizzels are an iconic brand name when it comes to sweets.
Launched in 1928, the brand remains England’s biggest family owned confectionery company, and the longest running too. They know what they’re doing when it comes to sweets, and it shows.
Known for their love hearts, refreshers and drumsticks, they recently launched the new ‘choos’ range, and it didn’t disappoint, creating a storm across social media throughout the launch.
November was Vegan month and to celebrate, Swizzels very kindly sent us a hamper of their amazing range, including the new ‘choos’ as well as the classic drumsticks, refreshers, rainbow drops, love hearts and more! I know, we’re very lucky, and also grateful!
Callum’s eyes when he saw the hamper were a sight to behold. I thought they would pop out with excitement. It didn’t take him long to open a pack and dive in, as you can see.
As I’m sure most of you will appreciate, when you have as many allergies as he does, it can often be very hard to find suitable options that he can have. And as many of you know, Swizzels are my go to for sweets. In fact, every single party we go to, I make sure I have a bag of love hearts so I can ‘swap’ sweets he can’t have and make sure that he never misses out! We’ve done this since he was little, and he knows to check all sweets with us. Any that aren’t safe get swapped out with the safe ones we take with us, and means he always gets to have treats too.
Now, along with the old range, we have the ‘choos’ to add to our selection.
These ‘choos’ are bite size, and individually wrapped – important for those with allergies to know that there are no cross contamination issues!
The drumstick ‘choos’ come in a number of flavours, including:
- Peaches & cream
- Strawberry & banana
- Cherry & apple
- Raspberry & milk
- Strawberries & cream
The important information for those with allergies, they are suitable for vegans, gluten free, nut free, but contain soya.
Whilst trying to take the photos, Callum couldn’t help himself, and dived right in! He was so happy, bless him!
They will be wonderful stocking fillers too, and the perfect addition to any party bag.
Have you tried them? What did you think?
