There’s been a lot of things happening behind the scenes here at Intolerant G HQ over the past few weeks!
Last week, we mentioned the first of our big projects, where we launched a fantastic competition with a2 Milk!
This week, we bring you details of another partnership, this time with PerkuLatte.
As any parent will tell you, young children tire you out beyond belief. Add allergies, eczema and asthma to the mix, and you’re lucky if you know your arse from your elbow by 10am every morning!!
As a result, I am a HUGE fan of coffee, with my favourite being a large latte. Nothing beats it, and I can’t start my day without decent coffee.
So, imagine my delight when I found out about PerkuLatte!
They have taken the coffee world by a storm, particularly as they offer something somewhat different to what you and I are used to. Instead of shop bought, they come to your door via a subscription service. Each month, a brand new coffee roast is selected by their experts, and sent out to our homes (or office) for us to consume.
They are so good, they’re listed on ‘Not on the high street’, and have celebrities endorsing them!
We are very excited to announce that we have partnered with PerkuLatte to bring you allergy safe recipes with coffee in mind, each month!
Our first recipe will go live next week, so stay tuned for more details!
In the meantime, I’d like to introduce you to Kate, the founder of PerkuLatte who kindly agreed to answer our ‘5 minutes with….’ to let you lovely lot get to know her a little better.
So, over to you Kate! 🙂
5 random facts about you?
I met Torvil and Dean back in the 90s when I was on Live and Kicking (anyone under the age of 20 will have no clue what I’m talking about!)
I am often told I look like Dawn O’Porter and Sheree Murphy
I once danced at the London Palladium as part of a dance school back in my teens
I have moved house 6 times in the last 18 months! (Don’t ask!)
My great great great great (not entirely sure how far it goes back, but far!) was the founder of the Red Cross….Henri Dunant.
What is the story behind your company?
Until 2 years ago, I never drank coffee! Then I started to feel like I would only ever truly become an adult if I taught myself to like coffee. I started talking to friends about the best place to start and it slowly dawned on me how many people actually drink coffee (and also how expensive it is if you drink it out all the time!). The mind started to tick over and I suddenly realised that people already have things that they loved delivered to their door….why not their daily fix of coffee! After a bit of market research, PerkUlatte was born! But unlike other subscription based models out there, the key to our service is that each month, we bring you a new coffee. You won’t see the same coffee twice (unless you like it so much that you come back and buy a single bag of it). We aim to expose you to as many different coffees from around the World and letting you know as much about them as possible. PerkUlatte is about making your morning fix that bit easier!
