Can you believe that this website is now 1! Yep, it's been a whole year since we went self-hosted and we’re celebrating our first blogiversary, wow!

1st blogiversary photo - it's been a whole year since we went self hosted to bring you even more free from recipes which are dairy-free, wheat-free, gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free and more! www.intolerantgourmand.com

When I started The Intolerant Gourmand, it began as a means to vent the frustrations I had over Callum's journey, the struggle for diagnosis, and a way of sharing everything I was learning so that others didn't suffer in the same way.

Then came the recipes, which have proven to be incredibly popular! In fact, some of our most popular recipes to date are:

Thai inspired butternut squash soup

Simple chocolate ice cream

Sausage Pasta

Delicious free from waffles

Overloaded Hot Chocolate

Deliciously free from waffles - dairy-free, wheat-free, gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free and delicious! www.intolerantgourmand.com

The blog grew in popularity so fast, it had to go self hosted sooner than planned, which is what happened this time last year.

In the last year alone, the blog averages 50,000-60,000 page views a month, and has had over 3 million hits to date. These are amazing figures, and I'm truly blown away by them!

So much has happened over the past 12 months too!

Callum has started school and it has been a difficult but necessary journey to go through. Thankfully he is loving it, and the school have been quite simply fantastic with him. In spite of strong and very quick reactions, they've proven they are able to deal with them quickly and effectively and I don't think they'll ever truly understand how grateful I am to them for looking after Callum so well.

The Intolerant Gourmand has been nominated for awards, and amazingly we’ve got through 2 rounds to reach the finals of the Allergy Blog Awards UK.

We’ve been on TV and radio a fair few times, working on campaigns for Sky, BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Even Callum has been on live TV, and he did a wonderful job too!

We have worked with wonderful clients, and have some really exciting projects in the pipeline for the coming year, so keep a look out as we begin to share details in the weeks to come!

Most importantly though, it's all thanks to you, our readers, that we are where we are today. We quite simply couldn't do any of it without your support.

Callum 1st day at school - despite multiple severe allergies, eczema and asthma, Callum has successfully managed to start school in a safe and accommodating environment and he is loving his new adventure! www.intolerantgourmand.com

You help us reach the people who need support the most!

The Intolerant Gourmand was started with a very clear list of goals to achieve, and slowly but surely we’re ensuring they are and will be completed!

As a thank you for your support, we’ll be hosting some giveaways over the next month, including:

  • A fantastic artisan coffee and sugar spoon selection pack from our lovely friends at Perkulatte
  • A dust mite hand held vacuum from Phillips, and we swear by this fantastic piece of kit. - it's made a huge difference to Callum!
